Red Cross First Aid Cse, Module 10

Date: Saturday 21 April

Location: Gutersloh Germany, Blk 22 Mansergh Bks scout hut

Cost: 30 Euros (which will include a Current first aid manual normal cost 12 pounds) as well as the Red cross certificate on completion.

Food: bring your own lunch, refreshments will be provided

Timings: 0945 hrs till approx 1530 hrs

Notes: Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or fake blood on !!

As confirmation and a reminder to new and old:

1st Aid covers Module 10

MTE2 covers modules, 5, 6, 8,10, 11, 12, 14 and 15

MTE3 covers Moudule 16, some of 17 and some of 18

MTE4 covers Modules 38, someof 17 and some of 18

MTE5 covers Modules 7, 9, 13 and 19

Dates for West of the Area:

October 2 - 1st Aid - Brussels area - Course Director Carol

October 8/9 - MTE2 - Brussels area - CD Richard

October 15/16 - MTE3 - Brussels area - CD TBC

November 26/27 - MTE2 - Antwerp - CD TBC

November ?? - MTE5 - Brussels area - CD John N.

MTE4, Camping Skills, Camp Activity Skills (Modules 16,17,18 & 38)

Following the completion of a very sucessful MTE2 course last weekend in Antwerp, we have unfortunaltley to postpone the MTE4 which was planned for Grobbendonk April 8/12.

The reason for postponement is quite simply that, probably because of the timing around Easter, we had only 4 applicants, which meant unfortunatley that the course was not financially viable but also that all the important oportunities for networking would be lost.

Looking at the Area Training needs it would still seem that we do neeed to offer both MTE3 and MTE4 (probaby 2 of each from a geographical point of view) courses prior to the main camping season.

For the West of tha Area we will be canvasing leaders at the Benelux District camp to try to establish some dates and LTMs have been requested do the same within their localities so that we can to release some dates that are going to be acceptable to the majority.

Sorry to realease such dissapointing news
